-Create a new
blank document with a white background, 195x260 pixels in
size
-Choose the Rounded
Rectangle tool (
)
-Set the Radius to
10px
-Draw a rectangle,
like the one below. The color doesnt matter right now:
-Go to layer>layer styles>blending
options...
-Check in Stroke, and use the following:
-Check in Gradient Overlay, and use the
following:
-Check in Bevel and
Emboss, and use the following:
-You
should now have the base done, and it should look something lime
this:
Step 5-
-Now we need to make the cap
for the USB thing, just use the line tool (
) and draw
a 2 pixel line across the width, near the bottom. Set the color to
#CBCFD0 and set the opacity of the layer to 50%. You should have something
that looks like this:
Step 6-
-Use the
Elliptical Marquee tool (
) and, while holding
shift, make a selection about this big:
-Make the selection, then go to
layer>new>layer...
-Fill it with black(or any color easy to see
on a white surface)
-You should now have this:
Step 7-
-Create another selection, this time one
that fits inside the one we just made, like this:
-Create
a new layer, and fill the selection with a different color. While you
still have the selection, go back to the larger black circle layer, and
press delete. You should now have something that looks like this:

-Stay on the layer with the larger black circle, then go to
layer>layer styles>blending options...
-Use this for the
stroke:
-Use this for the color
overlay:
-Use this for the bevel and
emboss:
Step 9-
-Go back to the smaller blue circle layer,
then go to layer>layer styles>blending options...
-Use this for
the gradient overlay:
-Use this for
the bevel and emboss:
-You should now
have something that looks like this:

10-
-All thats left to do is the buttons. Use around size 9 font, with
the color #939798, the font Webdings has play, pause, skip left and
right. You can use + and - with just using the Arial font, arrange
these on your ipod until you get something like this:
-And thats all! I know the proportions arent exact to
a real ipod shuffle, but mess around with it, add some text and you can
make some pretty neat things.
